About Technometry

If an Amiga 500 is rebooted or powered without...

Technology affects every part of human life.  Anything that makes life easier, or a task more easily achievable, can be considered to be a technology.  In that sense, everyone makes use of, is familiar with, or harnesses technology.

Nowadays, in this instance of the millennium, advances in technology are the most rapid ever in human history. The last thirty-something years has seen my childhood spent  Sundays at the library, learning how to locate a book via the DD, my early teens, learning how to shift and sift through volumes of Encyclopaedia Britannica, and then simply learning how to type better on an Amiga Typing Tutor program. From learning how to kern better for my teachers reading sensibility,  to learning shortcuts in an environment that began with Times-New Roman and ctrl-shifts to Verdana, Wing Dings and …. well, you get the polaroid. The flickr. The upload.

This blog is an attempt to capture observations, thoughts and snapshots on current and new technologies. Whether on the latest product, trend or movement, its an attempt to capture that quicksilver thought in amber, and share that thought with you.

Our unique backgrounds in the cross section of corporate, government and technology, coupled with business and personal interest, make Technometry a unique point of view.

These are our  e-pinions on technology. Beep.
